QUALITAL started in 2008 the granting of Label Qualital EN12365 for gaskets used in building conforming to requirements of standard EN12365. The standard EN12365 is composed by four parts: · Part 1: Preformance requirements and classification · Part 2: Test methods to evaluate compressive stress · Part 3: Test method to evaluate elastic recover · Part 4: Test method to evaluate recover after artificial weathering test. Tests etablished in the parts 2/3/4 of Standard EN 12365 allows to define mechanical and elastic performances of gaskets for windows and door frames, according to work field and termal range expected in exercise. Then, as suggested in the Part 1 of Standard EN 12365, functions and performances of each gasket are named with a specified “code” made by 6 figures that is an “identity card” of the product, european-wide recognized. HOW TO OBTAIN LABEL QUALITAL EN12365 Preliminary inspection in the main production Unit and Laboratory to check: - tipology and spreading of controls executed on raw materials, production and on finished product; - tipology and spreading of controls executed on plants; - equipments used for controls and records. During the inspections 3 types of gaskets that have passed quality internal control will be taken by the inspector in order to test them in QUALITAL laboratory conforming to EN 12365-2 e EN 12365-3. The result of the inspection will be communicated within 10 days, together with the possible request of corrective actions for management activities appeared wanting. The results on the test samples taken during the visit have to be conform to stated features; otherwise, the tests have to be repeated on other samples stored by manufacturer. The Inspection for granting quality Label will be made as follow: - checking of controls executed on raw materials, production and on finished product; - checking of equipments used for controls and registers; - checking of controls executed on plants; - moreover, the activities appeared wanting in previous visit will be inspected. Also during this visit, 3 types of gasket that have passed quality internal control will be taken by the inspector in order to test them in QUALITAL laboratory conforming to EN 12365-2 e EN 12365-3 . If the results of this inspection will be conform, a licence to use quality label QUALITAL EN12365 will be granted. RENEWAL OF QUALITY LABEL QUALITAL EN12365 After granting licence to use quality label, the manufacturer will be checked twice times a year as follow: - checking of controls executed on raw materials, production and on finished product; - checking of controls executed on plants; - checking of equipments used for controls and registers; During each inspection, 3 types of gasket that have passed quality internal control will be taken by the inspector in order to test them in QUALITAL laboratory conforming to EN 12365-2 e EN 12365-3. If the results of the inspection are not satisfactory, a new visit on products and plant will be made within one month.
