QUALIGASKET is a quality label granted to manufaturers that use gaskets in building applications (interior and exterior).

Gaskets may be Elastomer EPDM (o EPM), Elastomer WMQ (or Silicon), Thermoplastic (PVC), Thermoplastic Rubber (TPV) based.

Technical Specifications of QUALIGASKET label specify minimum requirements for laboratory equipments, for plant and final product.

HOW TO ACHIEVE QUALIGASKET LABEL

To achieve QUALIGASKET label, two inspections have to be carried out by QUALITAL to check the following points:

- inspection of laboratory equipments;

- inspection of plant and instruments;

- inspection of finished product.

During plant inspection, two different types of gaskets will be taked to check surface quality, dimensional tolerances, hardness and volumetric mass.

Same tests will be carried out on two other gaskets taken from the archive of tested samples.

RENEWAL OF QUALIGASKET LABEL

After granting QUALIGASKET label, the manufacturer will be inspected at least twice times a year, following the same operational mode as the inspection for granting the label.

If the results of the inspection are not satisfactory, a new inspection on products and plant will be made within one month.
