In October 2004, QUALITAL was awarded by SINCERT (certification nr. 079A) with the Quality System Certification for Companies according to UNI EN ISO 9001, in the field of the sector EA 17 – Metals and its alloys, metal manufactures - holding this service to Product Certification (by which QUALITAL is awarded by SINCERT since 1993, for the manufactures in anodized and coated aluminium alloys). The Certification iter is organized as follow (based on the “QUALITAL Regulations for the Quality System Certification"): - Companies operating in the field of “Metals and alloys, manufacturing of metal products” interested to the Certification of their Quality Management System, may request to QUALITAL a personalized economic supply sending by fax with the Quotation Request Form correctly filled in;
- QUALITAL sends to the Company the economic supply, the Certification Request form and the Regulations for the S.G.Q. Certification;
- If the company decides to accept the offer, it has to send to QUALITAL the Certification Request signed by the Legal Representative.
- QUALITAL, checked the compliance of the documentation and approved the request, informs the Company of the name of Evaluation Group, and request a supervised copy of the Quality Manual, in order to verifying if the described system is conform to all the requirements of the reference standard;
- QUALITAL also informs the Company with a proper report about the final results after checking the Manual, pointing out the possible significant differences in relation to the Standard requirements, with the aim that the Company may carry out the necessary changes on the Handbook before the Certification Visit (if QUALITAL and/or the Company consider it necessary, a Preliminary Visit can be arranged to check the the needs of the company before starting the certification iter); the certification audit is carried out in two phases, called respectively Phase 1 and Phase 2.
The Phase 1 audit is made in part also in the Organisation site to evaluate location and specific conditions of the same site, processes, and to establish the preparation level of the staff for the Phase 2 audit (checking of documents is usually carried in QUALITAL’s offices).
After the positive result of the Phase 1 audit, the Phase 2 audit will be programmed in the Company site in order to check that the quality management system is realized according to the relative documentation and efficient according to the requirements of the reference standard; the Company must ensure that, during the inspection, the auditors are assisted by staff related in the activities under control and that all the documents referring to Quality System and registers are available;
After the positive results of the Phase 2 inspection, and after checking of the efficient implementation of corrective actions, QUALITAL will issue the Certification valid for three years, with yearly inspections and a re-Certification inspection at the end of the third year. Concerning to the schedule: - 20 days for examination of the Manual (from receipt of the order) and for send the “Evaluation report of S.G.Q. documentation”; - if the Manual is considered appropriate, the Phase 1 inspection is scheduled within next month, thus the Company can make any correction to the Manual before the inspection; - the Phase 2 date of inspection will be previously agreed with the Company in function of the time necessary to execute the corrective actions requested in Phase 1. - Certification will be granted during first meeting of QUALITAL Comitee of Certification, subsequent to the positive result of the inspection or to checking of the effectiveness of the requested corrective actions.
